			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This last Saturday I spent the morning with Jon cutting stamps from potatoes.  I&#8217;m convinced now that potatoes are an effective, low-cost way to learn how to carve stamps.  Unlike cutting a linoleum block, I didn&#8217;t feel guilty when I made an irreversible mistake; just chuck the potato and start again.</p>
